❔ Is it possible for you to discuss PS10 Q6 in next section? Specifically, I am not sure if I follow how to go about the calculating price immediately after announcement v/s later when the deal is processed.

There are also synergies, but you can just set S=0 in an example with no synergies. In general, I wouldn’t recommend jumping straight to the final example, because I explain my notation and vocabulary as well as the intuition behind the formulas in the opening portion, which serves as a great warm-up.
